Since my last post I managed to take an entire week off of work, but before my last day one of the employees approached me about another employee who has been sexually harassing her. Naturally, I took it up the line to my boss. Only to have my boss say that the employee's direct supervisor needed to look into the situation.

There was proof of the employee's allegations against the other employee, and one would have expected that my boss would have taken the steps to remove the offender. Which is what would have happened at pretty much any other job, right? Obviously, that is not the case here, or I wouldn't have seriously stepped up my job search, spending a good chunk of my vacation sending resumes all over the place. Well, those chunks of time when I wasn't able to move out of my bed due to crippling depression.

Considering I'd already told my boss that she needed to make a decision between me and the offender before any allegations were even made, well. I'm beyond pissed that she would choose to protect the fucker, saying that because he didn't actually touch his victim that she couldn't do anything in terms of firing his ass. Instead she had the offender sign an agreement to stay the hell away from his victim...which he broke his first shift back after his scheduled days off. Twice, no less, when he had no reason to be anywhere near her work location. The victim has gone to her supervisor over it, but we're all pretty sure that nothing will be done against the offender. Yet again.

What gets me is that if my boss had listened to me when this piece of shit was still in his probation period he would not have been given the opportunity to harass his victim in the first place. Or at least things would never have ramped up as far as they have. I'd gone to her about his serious lack of respect toward me despite me being a member of management. The final straw for me was when he yelled at me that I wasn't his supervisor...despite the fact that I very much was and still am. Not that it makes a lick of difference with this guy. Even in the group chat for work he carries on in the same disrespectful manner, yet my boss does nothing to rein him in.

I'm seriously hoping that I will soon be able to make it clear just how serious I was when I told her she needed to choose between me and the useless piece of shit. If I give any sort of notice it will be nothing short of a miracle because I am so done with my boss. It was never this bad when there was a manager between her and I, but that manager never came back after we closed in January and slowly reopened because my boss never saw the need, despite the fact that she's clearly in over her head.

So, fingers crossed for the interview I have tomorrow at a different hotel!
