I am so looking forward to the hotel, B&B, and spa getting back to normal-ish staffing levels so that 1) I can get back to f/t hours, and 2) schedule myself for actual day shifts once in a while. And perhaps that will lead to getting a raise!

As of now I am officially doing the scheduling for the hotel and B&B - the spa handles their own scheduling, even though they do borrow two of the housekeepers to help on the days they don't have their own spa attendant. I just make sure to enter that into my schedule when I do it up so I know not to call them in for housekeeping.

I'm also officially doing the ordering for all the accommodations properties now, which requires me to find out what we need for each one, and do up a list for the owners to use to go shopping. If we need any alcohol I have to pull up the NLC website so I can get the SKU number for each item we are ordering from there as well as the size of the bottle and name of the item or we end up with some really cheap stuff being brought in. Not that the wine we usually buy is super expensive, but she's bought some wines that were absolute plonk because they were dirt cheap, so to avoid that we make sure to include what exactly we want.

With f/t hours, I will be able to get health benefits through work. Anything that will help pay for my meds will be much appreciated, especially because my diabetic supplies are not cheap so I have a tendency not to check my blood as often as I should, and I've been doing everything I can to not end up on insulin. But with health benefits in place, the cost won't be holding me back as much.

I also like the fact that afterhours I can head up into the spa and make use of one of their massage chairs. I had joked about it last week, but I've been given the go-ahead by management now. This makes me a very happy camper, as you can imagine. The chair even massages your butt! I may take advantage of that tonight...

Also, the owners are working on fixing all the issues with our vitality room so that will be inspected and open soon enough as well. And once we figure out where the weights went for our weight bench I will start using that to help with building up my arm and leg strength again.

But for now, I'm going to run away as my shift is almost over!
