The job hunt continues, and I know that I need to get out of there before I lose what's left of my mind. Or I beat the living shit out of a coworker who has been a thorn in my side since he started.
And the little fucker escalated last night by messaging my boss to say I was unprofessional because I told him I wasn't going to open the images he sent me and that I would look at the paperwork in the morning. What gets me is that he is the epitome of unprofessional in pretty much all his dealings and yet he has the nerve to call ME unprofessional? And my boss pretty much backed him up and place a lot of the blame on me. And on my mental health. Which has almost no bearing on the situation with the asshole. Sure, the fact that he was caught sexually harassing a coworker and got little more than a slap on the wrist over it has triggered me to no end, but for the most part I can control my actions.
Today, before I headed to the other property for my shift I stopped at the hotel and let my work partner know yet again that I refuse to work opposite the fucking asshole - he pointed out the schedule for next Saturday and I said I'll switch with the other coworker on that day so I don't have to be anywhere near the fuckwit because I cannot guarantee that I will not reach out and punch him for his bullshit. Especially because my boss keeps siding with him! Report the lack of respect I get - nothing gets done. Other people report the lack of respect he give them - nothing gets done. Several complaints from guests about his language and attitude, and how rude he is to them - nothing gets done. He sexually harasses a coworker and the investigation shows proof of the harassment - nothing gets done. He allegedly signed a document where he agreed to stay away from the coworker and her main area of work yet he breaks that agreement TWICE - nothing gets done. The boss excused the harassment by saying 'he made a mistake'...I'm sorry but texting a female coworker that your dick gets hard when looking at her ass - WHILE AT WORK, NO LESS - is not an accident, especially when you text it several times. And when the boss was told about how he went into the laundry room when he knew the coworker was by herself to 'check into the laundry' she made an excuse about how it was a thing when I was off because they were having issues keeping up with the laundry. Despite the fact that he was told that under no circumstances was he supposed to go anywhere near the coworker, and laundry has been an issue for a very long time and not just while I was off. Like, for fuck's sake.
So, I will be leaving this shithole as soon as I can. Notice? What notice? Notices are given out of respect, and the extreme lack of respect I've gotten since my favourite boss left, well, my current boss doesn't deserve that sort of respect.
I'm at the point where if I can get f/t hours with decent money that I will even go back to fast food. I hate that work, but it would still be better than where I'm currently at. I have even applied for security work again, and it was something I had hoped to not have to deal with again too. But such is life. Sometimes you need to take a job that you'd prefer not to deal with in order to get you by while you look for something better. At least I wouldn't have to deal with the fuckwad anymore.
And, in the hopes that I get hired for the job I want so badly, I've already made arrangements to get the china cabinet out of the garage at work...well, mostly, I moved it to the front of the garage so I can load it up into the work truck this weekend and get it to my place. Originally, the plan had been to load it up over the weekend and take it a friend's place for now, but I decided to say fuck it and just get it into my apartment ASAP before I lose access to the garage and work vehicle. And maybe I'll bring a few bags of garbage down to the hotel as well, just to get it out of my apartment...there's always a method to my madness! I just have to try to get the garbage unlocked before I leave, that's all :P
And because the truck is being parked at Leaside Manor I can just park it back there after and not have to deal with coming back into the hotel to leave the keys at the desk.
