Imagine my surprise when the guy I'd taken two sets of writing classes from reached out to me last week to let me know about the next set of classes he is teaching as he would love to have me come back and work on the book I started writing during the first set of classes! Obviously, I told him I'd happily come back and when I told him that due to my finances at the moment that I would have to pay in installments...and he said that was perfectly fine with him!

When I spoke to a friend of mine about all this she said it was clear that the teacher thinks I've got a damn solid story to tell, otherwise he likely wouldn't have reached out to me. Needless to say, I'm excited about the whole thing.

I have decided to tweak my story a little bit and include chunks from a book I'd started writing during NaNoWriMo back in 2017. It was basically a glorified fan fiction based on the BBC's The Musketeers series, and used my knowledge of period sword fighting and clothing to a greater extent than any of my other attempts. But after re-reading the 179 pages I'd written I realized that I could easily change things around enough to fit the world that my other story takes place in. Of course there will need to be a series of name changes and whatnot, but that won't be difficult.

Class starts again on July 6th, and I hope to already have a good start on my assignments. I suppose we'll have to wait and see though :)

On another note, my Magic Bullet blender arrived last Saturday! A whole day earlier than expected. And I've been using it daily. Sometimes I'll make myself a fruit smoothie for breakfast, or other times just because I'm in the mood for one. I've even taken a smoothie to work once this past week. I'm using mainly frozen fruit and milk, sometimes a bit of yogurt added, and everything tastes damn amazing. If fresh fruit wasn't so damn expensive here I'd likely use that instead, but such is life sometimes. I may try making some orange juice bases smoothies...they'd probably taste incredible too. Orange juice, frozen pineapple chunks, and coconut milk? Probably absolutely divine! And healthy too!
